The Desert Botanical Garden is one of the best things to do in Phoenix, Arizona. With an insane amount of flora, fauna, wildlife and Native American history, you won’t get bored here! Whether you’re with kids, friends, family or just by yourself, don’t miss out on the Desert Botanical Garden. Here are 23 photos that’ll inspire you to visit.
Ever heard of the Desert Botanical Garden near Phoenix, Arizona?
It’s a crazy cool garden with sweet looking cacti, succulents, butterflies and flowers.
Before my last trip to Phoenix, I hadn’t heard of this place.
I’ve wandered around Phoenix multiple times (usually visiting grandparents who are snowbirds) but have never visited the Desert Botanical Garden.
Man… was I really missing out!
This place is so darn COOL.
My mom, sister and I took a little trip to this place from Mesa, Arizona and we weren’t really expecting too much… but were all just blown away by how fascinating this garden really is.
Some highlights of the Desert Botanical Garden is it’s butterfly exhibit, where you can literally hang out with hundreds of awesome butterflies; the herb garden, filled with sensory plants, like lavender, and various herbs, like chives and sage; and the cactus and succulent gallery, where visitors can view a multitude of adorable succulents.
Other cool parts of the garden include the enormous agave plants, cacti taller than you can even imagine, and areas where visitors can view how the Apache and Akimal O’odham people lived.
All in all, this place is a 10 out of 10 in my books.

May 29, 2017 6:18 amThank you Parul – the pictures weren’t hard to get since everything is beautiful there! Depending on where you go for the Grand Canyon, the shortest it’ll be away is about 4 or so hours! The southern rim of the Grand Canyon is 3.5 hours away from Phoenix.
