Ever heard of the Desert Botanical Garden near Phoenix, Arizona?
It’s a crazy cool garden with sweet looking cacti, succulents, butterflies, and flowers.
Before my last trip to Phoenix, I hadn’t heard of this place.
I’ve wandered around Phoenix multiple times (usually visiting grandparents who are snowbirds) but have never visited the Desert Botanical Garden.
Man… was I really missing out!
This place is so darn COOL.
My mom, sister, and I took a little trip to this place from Mesa, Arizona and we weren’t really expecting too much… but were all just blown away by how fascinating this garden really is.
Some highlights of the Desert Botanical Garden is it’s butterfly exhibit, where you can literally hang out with hundreds of awesome butterflies; the herb garden, filled with sensory plants, like lavender, and various herbs, like chives and sage; and the cactus and succulent gallery, where visitors can view a multitude of adorable succulents.
Other cool parts of the garden include the enormous agave plants, cacti taller than you can even imagine, and areas where visitors can view how the Apache and Akimal O’odham people lived.
All in all, this place is a 10 out of 10 in my books.
